About Helvetia Strawberries (was formerly Groveland Acres)
Dave and Joanie Jossi started the original Groveland Acres Pick Your Own Strawberries in Helvetia, Oregon in 1987 to serve the community and surrounding areas with the best flavorful and juicy strawberries available for miles around! Today, son and daughter in law Dehl and Holly Jossi have taken over the strawberry farm and have renamed it 'Helvetia Strawberries' The Shuksan variety that Dave & Joani decided to plant three acres of, way back in 1987, has now grown to eight acres! The Shuksan (developed in Washington County, Oregon) is a cross between the Marshall and Northwest strawberries and is just a wonderful all-around strawberry that has quickly become a regional customer favorite for pies, shortcakes, salads, as well as jam and preserving!
