North Santiam River Rafting Trips
North Santiam River rafting is possibly Central Oregon and the Willamette Valley’s most popular guided river trips due to its beauty, proximity to Bend,
Salem, Eugene and other Oregon cities, the variety of whitewater, and superb trout and salmon fishing.
North Santiam River rafting is an adventure with many different whitewater sections and easy access so there is something for every level of boater. There are a lot of Class II and III rapids on this section of the river. Some of the more exciting rapids that you will paddle through are Carnivore, Spenser’s Hole, Mill City Falls and many others.
Beginning on the slopes of the western Cascades, the river descends in crystal-clear torrents through lush green forests down into the Willamette Valley. Also, the mountains around the river offer some of the most scenic and varied hiking in the Pacific Northwest.
The most popular North Santiam river rafting section for whitewater boaters is the 14 miles from Packsaddle County Park to the Mehama boat ramp. The upper stretch between Big Cliff Dam and Packsaddle Park (Niagara Section) is a favorite for kayaking as it offers almost nonstop rapids.
HDRO offers a variety of guided rafting trips on the North Santiam River to suit your needs, ranging from relaxing family outings to high-adrenaline
whitewater adventures. We provide wet-suits, splash jackets and booties for these trips.
