Minimum Requirements
- No diving experience necessary
- Minimum age: 10
- In good physical health
- Complete a medical statement see below
Class Structure
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Phase 1: Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving (eLearn - online independent study or Traditional - manual and instructor led in the classroom)
- Phase 2: Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills, in our private indoor swimming pool. Our pool sessions can be tailored to work around your schedule.
- Phase 3: Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore! Our open water weekends are typically held in the Puget Sound area, see scheduled dates below. Private classes include private open water dives. See below for our referral program to tropical locations.

NW Diver Experience: Choose your knowledge development of choice, learn the needed skills in our pool, go to open water in Hoodsport Washington to complete your certification. If we are traveling to a warm water location that allows Dale to teach, you could complete your dives there.
Tropical / Referral Experience: Choose your knowledge development of choice, learn the needed skills in our pool, go to open water at a place of your choice. Private NW Diver Experience: The same as the NW Diver Experience except you training in a one-on-one or one-on-two experience.
Private NW Diver Experience: The same as the NW Diver Experience except you training in a one-on-one or one-on-two experience. This includes both pool sessions and open water dives.
